Cutoff date for these rooms is Thursday, May 28th, 2026. Reservations should be made before this date to book at the group rates. Making reservations on or after this date will result in higher rates.

We have a block of 10 rooms, of $135.00 plus tx for King and queen doubles.

Holiday Inn offers free breakfast, free parking, indoor pool, free wifi throughout the hotel, fitness center and business center. You are responsible for your own reservations.

 You can join us for 3 days, 2 days, 1 day or for our Annual Meeting/meal on June 13, 2026. * I have taken advantage of the deal and I will arrive several days prior to the reunion dates.

*** Please join us on Friday, June 12, at 3:00 p.m. at the Lawrence Dameron family burial grounds, located at the entrance to Dameron Marsh. We will lay a wreath, share a few words of remembrance, and honor our family’s beginnings. Following the ceremony, we will proceed through the marsh — so be sure to bring your cameras to capture the beauty of the area. That evening, we will gather for our Friday night meal at 6:30 p.m. at KC’s Crabs and Cues in Kilmarnock, Va.

Printed maps will be available for anyone needing directions to the Marsh. If you would like to say a few words at the monument, please let us know in advance. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

There are other hotels in the area as I am sure our 10 rooms will fill up fast.

Our meeting/banquet will be held Saturday, June 13 at noon in the meeting room of the hotel with our meal from Roberto’s Italian Restaurant in Tappahannock.

 The deadline for paying for the banquet/meal reservation is May 28, 2026, $25.00 per person, children 12 and under $12.00, 3 and under free.

The goal of the DDFA reunions is to help others connect, this being the reason we take our reunions to different states in hopes of meeting new Dameron Damron cousins, research, connect and enjoy.

 DDFA membership is not required for our reunion so please feel free to bring a friend or anyone interested in our Dameron-Damron family history. Please join us and help make this year’s DDFA reunion another great success story!

Virginia’s Northern Neck Peninsula is often referred to as the “Birthplace of Our Nation,” as three of the first five American presidents were born here, along with many prominent families who helped shape the nation and its founding principles.

George Washington Birthplace National Monument in Westmoreland County, Virginia. The site commemorates the birthplace of George Washington, a Founding Father and the first President of the United States, who was born here on February 22, 1732. Archaeological discoveries have identified 32 graves of Washington family members in the Bridges Creek cemetery, including those of George Washington’s father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and half-brother. Located on the Northern Neck of Virginia: 1732 Popes Creek Road, Colonial Beach, VA 22443 

Stratford Hall Historic Plantation house in Westmoreland County, Virginia and was home to four generations of the Lee family. It is the boyhood home of two Founding Fathers and signers of the Declaration of Independence—Richard Henry Lee and Francis Lightfoot Lee. Stratford Hall is also the birthplace of Robert Edward Lee, born in 1807, who later became General-in-Chief of the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. James Monroe Birthplace Park & Museum, also known as James Monroe’s Birthplace and Boyhood Home, is a historic archaeological site located near Monroe Hall and Colonial Beach in Westmoreland County, Virginia. The site includes the ruins and restoration of the Monroe family home, uncovered in 1976 by an archaeological team from the College of William & Mary. The archaeological team uncovered a house foundation measuring 20 feet by 58 feet. Located on the Northern Neck of Virginia: 4460 James Monroe Highway, Colonial Beach, VA

James Madison Belle Grove Plantation, located at Port Conway, is the birthplace of James Madison, the fourth President of the United States and the “Father of the Constitution.” Explore the 1791 mansion and grounds where Madison was born. During the Civil War, Belle Grove Plantation served as a Union headquarters. The site is also connected to the manhunt following President Abraham Lincoln’s assassination—John Wilkes Booth crossed the Rappahannock River nearby by ferry, and Union troops pursuing him, stopped at the plantation.  Cruise to Tangier Island aboard the Chesapeake Breeze

Enjoy a day on the Chesapeake Bay with a cruise from Historic Reedville, Virginia, to Tangier Island aboard the Chesapeake Breeze.
